If you’ve ever hosted your website with Cal Coast Web Design, you’ve likely gotten a webmail address. The difference between webmail and email is something subtle that most people don’t ever notice. A webmail service is like Hotmail, Gmail, or the SecureServer access that you get with CCWD. You can access messages on a webmail service from anywhere. Email clients are on a specific device and download your messages, such as Outlook or another program. Webmail is online-only, email can be done on any device with a client installed.
When you sign on with CCWD hosting, there are several different ways to log into your webmail account. Several steps can be cut out with some ease.
However, that step can be skipped! Rather than clicking, you can go directly to calcoastwebdesign.com/login. With a correct customer number and password, you’ll be directed into your Domain Control Panel. It looks like this:
Checking your email is just that easy! However, even that step can be skipped. If you want to get to your webmail instantly without clicking, you can easily type in the URL for login.secureserver.net
All of these steps end up in the same place, at your webmail login! The only difference is what you feel more comfortable in using and how many steps you’d like to take. Just be sure to have your email, password, or customer number ready when you go to log in! If you have trouble with logging in and need some technical expertise, or if something goes wrong, you can always contact us here!
