It’s today’s Search Engine Optimization world, we all hear a ton of information about linking. Most of the time we hear about how reciprocal linking is one of the most important things you can get for your website. While this is true there are other types of links that are important for your website and it’s success with search engines.

What you may not know about reciprocal links is that you should also strive to get sites or businesses in your local area to link to you. Normally when you request a reciprocal link you should aim to link only with sites with a page rank of 4 or better but you needn’t concern yourself with page rank when you ask local businesses to reciprocate links.

The search engines would normally penalize you for linking to and having links back with poor page rank however this is simply not the case with local links. These links are considered local area content and add to your website own information. Cal Coast Web Design regularly asks local businesses with websites in your area to trade links however some areas are quite large and the lists are long so if you know of a local business that has a website please let us know and ask us to trade links with that site or sites. We’ll be happy to do so.
