Linking is CRUCIAL to your online success when it comes to getting well ranked in the SERPS. I wanted to blog QUICKLY about some first time practices for blogging and linking on OTHER sites than your own for this purpose.
First lets begin your search for NEW industry related blogs.
Begin by visiting a document whee you have your keywords stored. If you have worked with Cal Coast on a marketing or SEO campaign, this information was emailed to you after your keyword research meeting. Please don’t hesitate to contact us at 888-281-7665x 1 should you need this information again.
Now determine which keywords you want to focus your linking efforts on.
Cross reference your keywords in order of importance with your WPG report found at CCWDSupport.com if you are a CCWD marketing client. Otherwise, simply check google to see where you rank in the search engines.
CLICK HERE for more information on how to sign up for our Monthly Web Position Reports or simply contact us at 888-281-7665 or Sales@CalCoastWebDesign.com.
If you find that you have #1 position (or other desired position) in Google for a term, you can move on to the next one in order of importance.
Once your decided keyword has been selected, simply visit Google and do one of the following:
- Type in “
blog” directly into Google and search for blogs. Select “more” from Google search options in top left corner of Google.com. Select “Blogs” and type in “ “ Type in “blog directory” and select a directory to search for blogs that are keyword or industry related.
You must think outside the box here!!!!! If you are looking for a blog for a client whose main keyword is “Orange County unique custom handbag,” you will need to search for blogs for a purse, accessory, fashion, designer, custom crafts, orange county and MORE!
Once you find a blog post that relates to your client’s offerings, simply post a comment.
***Each blog has unique posting rules so be sure to read carefully! You must not violate any blog rules. Doing so is SPAMMING and will get a site banned.
Once a blog post is found to comment on, simply post a comment with the following guidelines:
Happy Blogging & Linking!
- It must sound personal and REAL! Use common casual correspondence here. No need to get too stuffy and professional. These are blogs, they’re more casual. Talk to the poster and fellow readers!
- You must offer your linked site as a SOLUTION, IMPROVEMENT or RESOURCE that related to the blog topic!!!!
**Do not just use the keyword only as part of your text. You must reference the link itself and what they will find on the other end of that link and HOW that supports the blog post!
- You MUST MUST MUST include your keyword selected in your blog post and link it back to the coordinating supporting page reference.
